Homeowner was concerned about settlement cracks over their front porch arch. The arch itself was still sound but with time would also fail; this timely repair avoided a much bigger job later. We built a frame to support the arch itself, removed the inside trim board and then removed the 3 courses of brick above the arch on both the inside and outside wall. The arch itself remained intact. We could then re-lay these courses restoring structural strength and good looks. The top course in the outside wall was laid from the inside avoiding any need to disturb the outside trim.
